The matrix switch is controlled via an iPhone app, so we can easily change sources in each room. This setup works great, didn't break the bank, and is easy to use. We've since added a television in our master bedroom and unfortunately don't have 2x ethernet there. Running ethernet to our bedroom would require a lot of drywall repair which I wasn't excited about. When I saw the IOGear product at Best Buy Magnolia tonight, I purchased it. I expected it to fail, as most wireless products never live up to expectations. I can honestly say I'm not disappointed with it. I wanted to place a flat panel over the fire place, but really didn't want to deal with the 3 hr install. Drilling and cutting walls, fishing wire, etc. Well I saw this product and figured why not try it. It works great and it only took about 20 minutes to set up out of the box. The transmitter and receiver are compact enough to hide in any set up. More importantly, you see no wires around the tv and the components are sitting 30 ft away.Set up: 46 inch aquos, Sharp blu-ray and direct TV set top box. I could easily add home entertainment receiver to this set up. Took me about an hour to setup completely. Both the 52-inch TV in the living room and the 25-inch in the bedroom have a great picture with no interference. Both TVs work at the same time, but of course they are both displaying the same thing. This device saved me the cost of another TiVo box ($100+$20/month TiVo service fee). |
