The ivory fine china pieces feature an intricate rim design of flowers, scrollwork, leaves, and fruit. A central motif shows a basket overflowing with vines and berries, while a double band of 24-karat gold adds an understated shine. The quietly festive colors of the pattern are brightened by hand-enameled raised dots. The five-piece place setting includes a 10-3/8-inch dinner plate, an 8-3/8-inch salad/dessert plate, a 6-3/8-inch bread and butter plate, a 5-3/4-inch saucer, and a 6-ounce rounded teacup. I finally decided to just take the plunge and start buying it a place setting at a time. The prices at Amazon are great and they let you know when they have dropped in price. The sets are everything I hoped for. Only problem is that I have had two shipments arrive with broken saucers. In the big picture this is not a huge problem as Amazon replaced them immediately and returns were a piece of cake, but as it happened more than once I would think there must be a better way to package the sets. Still extremely happy with my purchases, they are more beautiful than I hoped and are worth every penny.
