I rarely write product reviews too but in this case I felt compelled to share my story with you as this product has saved me a tremendous amount of time and money! At my business, the time clock is only plugged into a power supply. My employees just punch in an ID number at the clock and they can even see how many hrs... This model was chosen because of its ability to network, its automatic calculation of hours, security, and size.Because it can network, you can install this thing anywhere that you can run a Cat. 5 cable. It is accessed through its IP address, but the only downside to that is I don't know if you can change the IP or subnet of the device (it could be possible to do so, I just didn't see it in the documentation). You simply enter the IP into your browser and administer the time clock from any computer on the subnet. Also, I suppose you could adjust your router so that you could administer it from elsewhere online. This is handy, as sometimes I need to administer it from several different computers. Once you get it connected, it's pretty easy to set it up the way you want it. Our work...
